Carmel McGregor is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Canberra, a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Public Administration (IPAA) and its ACT Deputy President.
Carmel is a former Deputy Secretary People in the Department of Defence, where she led a a review of pathways for women in Defence. Carmel was also the Deputy Australian Public Service Commissioner and served on the Prime Minister’s Advisory Group on Reform of Australian Government Administration. For a number of years, Carmel was Australia’s representative and Vice Chair of the Public Governance Committee of the OECD. Carmel received a Public Service Medal in the Australia Day 2013 Honours List.
